Already close to breaking point after losing her unborn baby, Lexi receives another hammer blow when her doctor reveals that her remaining Fallopian tube is too damaged for her ever to conceive a child without medical help.
Unaware that Carl's having serious doubts about their marriage, Lexi decides they should try IVF treatment. Meanwhile, Jimmy has noticed Carl's lack of sympathy for his wife and advises his brother to come clean with Lexi before it's too late.
In other news, Pollard lies to Val that they won't get any money from the factory closure – when really he stands to make 10 grand. Eager to help, Val recruits the Dingles to steal the stock and equipment, so Pollard can make a false insurance claim. Just for once, Team Stinky come up trumps – even though Zach is nearly caught red-handed by David and Leyla who pop by for a quick knee-trembler.
Meanwhile, following the shocking discovery that she's married to a bigamist, Natasha decides she and Mark must get rid of his first wife – but will a promise to set her up for life be enough to convince Faye to leave the village?
